Get Code / Validate Formula
Complex Formulas
If you have a large memory device such as most Edges, 645 Music, Fenix 5X or Fenix 5 Plus, AppBuilder 5 and 5+ can handle more complex formulas than normal by accepting code generated by this web app. Type your formula below, press "Get Code", and paste the generated code into your AppBuilder settings.
If you don't have a large memory device, this app will still validate your formula for errors. It'll also print a multi-line formula on a single line so you can paste it into the app settings.
For example, AppBuilder 5+ on your Garmin watch might be able to handle 1 very long formula (around 300 characters) entered as text. The same formula could be used in all 6 fields when pasted in as code.
Fantastic App. I enjoy it. I have two questions:
ReplyDelete> I am using the AppBuilder5 on a Fenix 7 Solar Sapphire. After playing around with it for a couple of hours I am facing the following limitation: I see all installed ConnectIQ data fields. However I can only choose two of them in each sport application setup. Is this limitation known - can it be circumvented?
> Any idea, if, and better when, the Appbuilder5+ will be available on Fenix 7 ... :-)
Thank you so much for this app it has been incredibly useful.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason greater than ">" and less than "<" signs seem to no longer be recognized? They were working for me two weeks ago and now for some reason I am getting the !NAME error anytime I use an equation with them? Even the example from the top of your Examples page "ifs(hr < 130, 1, hr < 150, 2, hr < 170, 3)" returns "Error: Unknown name: '<' " when it is entered in the code validator above? Is this something I've accidentally starting doing wrong with the way I'm entering the equations (it seemed to work fine a couple weeks ago?) or has something changed in the app? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks! Nick
Loving this app. As well as being able to create data fields in an intuitive way, it also helps me get around the daft 2 field limit for IQ fields.
ReplyDeleteGreat app. Really useful. Does anyone know whether "multisport time" is available as a raw data item to be used in formula - and if so what's the name/syntax? Thanks
ReplyDeleteBrilliant app, is it possible to use variables like in other programming languages?
